Harthelm 1.0.1

What changed in Harthelm 1.0.1: restorable platform dumps and the first Argo CD sync without the pre-migration dump.

Last updated 2026-10-19

Released 2026-10-11. API version 0.10.0, unchanged. A patch release: upgrade from 1.0.0 without any step of your own.

Terminal
helm upgrade harthelm oci://<your registry>/charts/harthelm --version 1.0.1 -n harthelm-system -f my-values.yaml

Fixes

Platform dumps restore as the database's owner. The nightly and pre-upgrade dumps of the platform database now leave out database extensions. Harthelm uses none, but a database with pg_stat_statements enabled had one in its dumps, and pg_restore as the owner role stopped at it with "permission denied".

First Argo CD sync without the pre-migration dump. With backup.preMigration.enabled: false and a storage class that binds on first use (WaitForFirstConsumer), the backups volume sat alone in sync wave -1, where nothing mounted it, so the first sync never left that wave. The volume is now in wave -1 only together with the dump.

hart admin doctor. The detail of the NetworkPolicy self-check no longer ends in two periods.

Upgrade notes

Restoring a dump made by 1.0.0. Dumps written before 1.0.1 may still contain extension entries. Restore them with a list that leaves the entries out:

Terminal
pg_restore --list platform-<stamp>.dump | grep -v -E '^[0-9]+; [0-9]+ [0-9]+ (EXTENSION|COMMENT - EXTENSION) ' > toc
pg_restore --use-list=toc --no-owner --role=harthelm --exit-on-error --dbname="$DSN" platform-<stamp>.dump

See Backups and restore.

Version reporting. Servers of 1.0.1 still report dev at /api/v1/version and in hart version; the chart's version is right. Fixed in 1.0.2.
