Harthelm 1.0.2

What changed in Harthelm 1.0.2: Run and failing needs, correct versions, mirror.sh, the backups volume at install.

Last updated 2026-10-19

Released 2026-10-11. API version 0.10.1. A patch release: upgrade from 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 without any step of your own. The upgrade adds two columns to the platform database; core does that when it starts.

Terminal
helm upgrade harthelm oci://<your registry>/charts/harthelm --version 1.0.2 -n harthelm-system -f my-values.yaml

For developers

Run does not wait for a failing need. When you press Run while a service that others need is failing, Harthelm starts it again together with the others instead of letting them wait up to 5 minutes for it. Until a replica of the new run is ready, the Run panel and the workspace list say "needs api, which is failing", and requests still reach the services that need it. See Services that need each other.

No false "failing" after a Run. A healthy service that a Run restarts now counts as starting, not failing, so the services that need it wait for it as before.

API. LandscapeService has a new field failing: the service fails for the services that need it, including a need that was failing when the Run began. See Get the landscape.

For operators

Versions are reported correctly. The server, the workspace agent and the hart in the workspace images report 1.0.2: at /api/v1/version, in the Harthelm-Version header and in hart version. Earlier releases reported dev.

mirror.sh is a release asset. The release ships the script that copies every image of images.txt into your registry, for air-gapped installs.

The backups volume binds at install. On a storage class that binds on first use (WaitForFirstConsumer), with the backup receiver off (backup.workspaces.enabled: false), nothing mounted the backups volume at install: helm install --wait timed out, and Argo CD without the pre-migration dump stayed Progressing until the first nightly run. A short Job <release>-backup-bind-<hash> now mounts it read-only and exits. With Argo CD it is a Sync hook when the pre-migration dump is off. It is not created when you bring your own claim (backup.persistence.existingClaim).

Doctor warns about open egress rules. The network-policy check of hart admin doctor now warns about every networkPolicy.egress rule, and every teams.network.mirrors entry with ports, whose to is empty: such a rule opens its ports to every address.

A Docs link in the console. Set HART_DOCS_URL to the address of your documentation through core.extraEnv, and the console's header shows a Docs link to it. Without it there is no link. A value that is not an http or https address stops core at start.

my-values.yaml
core:
  extraEnv:
    - name: HART_DOCS_URL
      value: https://docs.example.com

Console. Buttons that delete or tear down something use a neutral frame with a red label. The expanded labels of the workspace's tool rail stay on one line.

Changed values

None. Upgrade the chart and the images together, as always: the 1.0.2 core reads a configuration key that only the 1.0.2 chart writes.
