Harthelm 1.2.0
What changed in Harthelm 1.2.0: hart smoke, registry pull secrets for team namespaces, a quieter licence check at start.
Released 2026-10-12. API version 0.11.0, unchanged. A minor release without breaking changes and without database migrations: upgrade as usual.
helm upgrade harthelm oci://<your registry>/charts/harthelm --version 1.2.0 -n harthelm-system -f my-values.yamlNew
hart smoke checks an installation from the outside. It creates a scratch workspace in a team, writes a small app
and its harthelm.yml into it, sets an env var, runs Sync, prepare and Run, and waits until the app answers on its dev
URL with that value. Then it deletes the workspace again, also when a step failed or you press Ctrl-C, and purges it when
your key may. A Developer's key in the team is enough. The app runs on what the workspace image already ships, so the
smoke test needs neither the internet nor mirrors and works on air-gapped installations. -o json prints every step;
the exit status tells what went wrong. See hart smoke.
hart smoke --api https://console.example.com --team 2Images from a registry that needs a login. Name the pull Secrets (type kubernetes.io/dockerconfigjson, in the
release namespace) in global.imagePullSecrets.
Harthelm copies them into every team namespace, keeps the copies current, and lists them on every pod it starts there:
IDEs, services, the backup and restore Jobs, and the managed databases. The preflight checks that each named Secret exists
and has the right type, and hart admin doctor has a new check, pull-secrets, that reports missing copies. With a
mirror that needs no login, nothing changes.
Fixed
- Right after a start, the licence check could log that it had not counted the nodes yet. It now waits quietly for its node cache; the counts were right before and still are.

What changed in Harthelm 1.2.1: a waiting page that keeps going, services that wake without waiting for the editor, Git commits that name the right person, terminals at their real size, and old Git remotes that work again.

What changed in Harthelm 1.1.0: licences, Harthelm's own names for availability and provider definitions, the importer removed, the source bundle.
